New European Union (EU) rules have come into effect, aimed at reducing the waste and pollution created by the fast fashion industry.
The legislation makes it illegal to destroy unsold clothing.

Poor countries being destroyed and the resources diverted to rich countries. Then destroyed in the rich countries as the consumers are not consuming them.
It really is heartbreaking, Mara. I always wonder if they'll just find some other loophole, like donating things that were never meant to last in the first place.
