Improperly disposed oxygen tanks exploded in the back of the garbage truck as it was compacting trash, knocking the sanitation worker off his feet and leaving him with a concussion and eye injury.
I used to work garbage. Just boomers not caring about anybody else but themselves, and if you asked them why they threw the canister away it would be "well they chose to be garbagemen, should've been better in school".
Just terrible. I feel bad for those poor collectors. May this serve as a reminder to people that hazardous materials require special disposal and don’t belong in the regular trash.
