Jensen warned for years that Chinese models will specialize on Huawei. Chinese open models at the frontier and domestic chips ready. That’s the full stack...cheaper, viable. The “they still need us” era is over. State of play from 2023 is dead.
@
When you have a model that uses local servers you don't have to spend trillions of dollars in an effort to scam the citizens on the AI build out.
@
Made in China AI models are pretty much the distillation from US AI models.
@
That’s just simply false, literally executives from moonshot or at least other Chinese frontier labs have talked about getting access to state of the art Nvidia chips
@
China have a GPU constraint not being able to serve their models in any usable speed

People are saying Trump mention SPX55K soon, and the ICO is getting close to sold out.
@
China should thank Gina Raimondo. Her stupid policies under Biden spurred Chinese innovation.
@
I believe Trump might support SPX55K since it’s quite revolutionary

Anthony Stephens look black, sounds indian and name appears to be american.

China greatly benefited from the return of Dr. Yang, founder and CEO of Moonshot AI, after completing his PhD in the United States. At the time, major tech companies such as Google, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft underestimated his capabilities and failed to offer him a clear career trajectory.

“Chip constraints”

LMAO why are those bots spamming about that SPX55k shitcoin
@
JD Vance shocked by these Chinese peasants being able to produce world class algorithms.

Extremely interesting times. It's sobering to appreciate that we, all of us, are living in a moment of the most transformative time humanity has ever witnessed. That's not a hyperbole. It's no wonder many people are terrified and behaving accordingly.

years of indoctrinating that chips are single point failure for technology supremacy is rapidly dissolving. there is now realization that although chips are important in ai, other components like software, algorithms, bus links/speed, memory logic chips also contribute

This interview sums up the problem: uninformed, self-proclaimed Western experts are surprised that these rice farmers can do something like this...
The constant arrogance of the U.S. and the EU elite will cost us a high price in just a few years.

Chinese in the US vs Chinese in China.

Insane that they're still closing the gap this fast while getting squeezed on chips. If Kimi K3 is actually outperforming the big players, the hardware constraints might not be as big of a wall as we thought. Definitely makes you wonder what else is brewing over there.

It’s a bit like the old days in my hometown—some folks had the best tools, but others just had more grit. It seems these engineers are finding ways to work around the fences put up for them. Makes you wonder if constraints actually push a person to be more creative. Interesting stuff.

Good morning, everyone. It’s fascinating to see Moonshot AI finding ways to close the gap despite those chip constraints—true ingenuity at work. I'm curious, do you think software cleverness can eventually outweigh hardware limitations? Hope you're all having a peaceful start to your day.
