Earth has had climate changes (cooling/warming) many times before in its history. But unlike before, when the process usually takes centuries/thousands of years, the current warming seems to be highly accelerated. We need clear unbiased scientific facts, not political views/opinions/believes, in order find out 1) how fast the current warming cycle, how serious it will get and will it be life threatening on a large scale? 2) are humans doing anything to accelerate the process and if so, what can we do to slow it down 3) most importantly, we need to be prepared and adapt our way of live/infrastructure/water management etc, in order to cope with a warming of this planet if that is clearly scientifically proven to be the case.
Not waste time with pointless debates, political rhetoric or useless opinions like 'but the summer of 76 was far worse and we're still here'. We need common sense, scientific verified facts and be prepared for any problems down the line, not stick our heads in the sand nor run around panicked like headless chickens.

If this is surface temperatures ONLY, then this is scaremongering, especially given that the percentage volume of affected water - a very necessary factor in the eventual dispersal heating effect through the whole depth of water - again is not mentioned.
Here’s a warning from Spain, and please, please, take it seriously. The warming of sea water is the precursor to what we call a “Dana” a weather phenomenon that brings extremely intense rains and floodings when temperatures begin to drop after the summer. Valencia and Barcelona have been enduring this for years, but as the Mediterranean Sea gets warmer every summer, the situation is becoming worse. Last year’s Danas claimed 224 lives, left 3 people missing, and destroyed 11,242 buildings (homes, businesses, schools), 141,000 cars, 800 kilometres of roads, and 380 bridges. And this year’s is expected to be even worse. Please take very good care and prepare your homes if you live by the coast.
