Absolutely heartbreaking news for the family in Pune. It is terrifying that these crews are basically sitting ducks in such volatile waters just doing their jobs. When does the international community actually step up to secure these shipping lanes? Another life lost to geopolitical games. Rest in peace.

My late uncle was a mechanic for the Air Force and used to talk about these design quirks. It’s funny how something that looks like a gap to us is actually working hard to keep the plane in the air. Makes you realize there isn't a single bolt on those machines that isn't there for a reason. Fascinating stuff.
