Watch 'We Are Spending Millions On MPs' Security But They Don’t Feel Safe’, Says Former Protection Officer, published by Times News, on Daily Junction Play.
imagine that, you make millions of peoples lives miserable, so they hate you, and that makes you feel unsafe :D I wonder what the cause could be, I'm sure some brainiac could hazard a guess...
The public don't feel safe from MPs... !!! Everytime they speak its a new way to squeeze money out of us or cut back on something or come up with something that can get you to serve jail time such as a tweet.....
Should Mps feel safe? They vote on matters of life and death for millions of people, using force to project their own morale code via the police and enacting lethal political violence via the military. At least some level of unease feels like an appropriate democratic counterbalance.
Good. They should feel no safer than anyone else. If they feel unsafe then perhaps they will focus more on the high levels of murder (600/yr.) and crime we mere mortals are subject to.
I feel the onus is on our MP's to collectively set about reducing the toxicity within current day British Politics. If certain MP's choose to set their stall out in a cocky, arrogant, obnoxious, antogonistic and abrasive manner then they are wilfully rubbing people up the wrong way and are effectively making targets of themselves. Many carears are dangerous but when certain MP's seem hell bent on lighting the public's fuse then they only have themselves to blame for attracting any aggression. One particular Party at this current moment in time is very likely buying themselves a very costly learning curve.
It surprises me that MPs are surprised about how despised they are by the average Joe Public. From repeated expenses scandals and ‘free’ gifts, to partying through lockdown, they show the electorate utter contempt, but are then utterly dismayed when it’s reciprocated. It wouldn’t be so bad if the country was well run, people can be pragmatic if needed. But that’s been an utter shambles too, so tolerance is very much lacking.

This is good, they should be aware of the consequences.
Why bother with all this security?
