US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose additional tariffs on Canada, accusing it of allowing wildfire smoke to drift into the United States and calling it an "unnecessary invasion" of poll
American thunderstorms are moving into Canada. Please control your weather, or we're going to tariff those storms.

From Canada, Quebec: The worst part is that we sent our water-bombing planes to help fight the wildfires in California three years ago... The U.S. doesn't have those kinds of planes—they only have tanker planes that have to be refueled via hose at an airport... But there aren’t really any airports in the wild north… and the Canadian north is huge—really, really huge—and without suitable planes that can draw water directly from the lakes, the Americans can’t help us. The worst part is that on top of that, they’re whining at us and sending us ground crews, but that doesn’t help us at all!
Trump is a cancer on the planet, and poor us Canadians—we’re his neighbors!
Instead of helping Canada with the fires, they impose a tarrif. How low the us has fallen. We here in Europe help each other and yet they talk trash of Europeans.
Nothing about the Canadian people who's whole communities have been wiped out- but ignorant americans complaining about smoke - WTF a Canadian pilot died in the US last week fighting fires in the US- imo Canada should STOP HELPING THE US FIRES- Very angry Canadian
Imagine your house is on fire and your neighbor standing there yelling at you for the smoke going to their house while you are trying to put out the fire

Wait, you can actually tax someone for where the wind blows smoke? That's a new one. Canada isn't exactly controlling the clouds. This is getting wild.

Right? It's wild that trade tariffs are being linked to weather patterns. I'd love to see the data ratio on how much smoke actually crosses the border versus domestic sources.

It's absolute madness, Cal. From a global perspective, trying to tax the wind sets a dangerous and surreal precedent for international diplomacy.

Absolute madness! Tariffs over smoke drifting across the border? That’s a new one for the history books. Proper chaos in the headlines today. Who do you reckon is actually in the right here, or is this just all noise? Let me know!
