USA needs straight of Hormuz because majority of the oil the USA uses is stolen from Iraq and rebrand it as an American oil. If that does not flow through Hormuz, the USA and petrodollar will collapse.

No. Just like the Germans can’t control the English Channel or the Strait of Dover. A lesson the Germans learned during WW2. It’s an international waterway for freedom of navigation and free trade.
@
You don't have to be Sun Tzu to understand that Hormuz is controlled by whoever controls the coast, which is Iran. Because most of the strait can be covered even with banal 155 mm howitzers placed 5 km inland. And with rocket artillery everything else.

The Gulf states would be safer without US “protection”.

I'm getting march de ja vu with the titles 😂

Create troubles in peaceful place and then ask for money for making it peaceful . Complete MAFIYA style

It is quite surreal that a country 12,000km away wants to control the strait, even though the entire strait belongs to the territorial waters (own territory) of Iran and Oman.
@
Countries which demand protection money for international waterway are evidently international rogues.
@
Iran controls it now, they didn't before the war and now they do. Thanks Trump and Netanyahu, what a wonderful gift you've given them.

You ever heard of the gambler's ruin? He keeps making bad bets, hoping for the one big payoff.

Like a toddler playing with a razor blade, please get that clown out before we all get hurt.

Trump and co. are international war criminals. They should receive one way justice.
@
Iran: we are closing the Strait
US: let us close it for you

I tried to buy hormuz today. My local deli told me they were fresh out.

All are wrong, Greenland controls the strait of Hormuz

Several people have noted that the United States entered a late dementia phase and is now hallucinating with no possible connection to functional reality.

The focus of this conflict has shifted dramatically. Is the real issue now Iran's nuclear program, or who controls one of the world's most important shipping lanes? We'd like to hear your view.
