I can't believe that I didn't know about that probe. To study the asteroid belt in 2010.
I have been giving my ideas for it. This video was missing one thing for the probe. To map out the distance between each one and their orbits around the earth.
The entire world must work together and build a ship. That could safety direct them towards earth. The reason is mining them for their minerals and metals inside. By that time the space elevator would be completed.
When everyone was giving idiots about changing the orbits of the asteroid. I have one as a joke. It's to send Bruce Willis and his team to save us all. With a nuclear bomb. He will sacrifice his life to save us .

I beleive at this point in time if we detect and see something incoming with 100% probability of hitting earth our only method is launching a nuke at it and hope for the best..thats currently speaking since nothing else is really feasible if we have only a year or less.

All we gotta do is lasso a comet and take a free ride! How scary once earth leaves sight!

OK, IF all planet are formed the same way, asteroids - comets collisions, WHAY ALL THE PLANET ARE DIFFERENTS? Also look at trhe Earth how many times we were struck since human is obn it, those colossal collisions didn':t happen in a couple of years we can say millions of years for asteroids slam to each other with the size of the space they can miss for a 1000 miles and never ciollide together, so it must have taken so many 1,000,000 years our brain can't compute those legnth of time.😲
