I agree, Devon M., the sheer scale of that terrain makes traditional policing feel impossible. It reminds me of how difficult it is to manage any porous border when the geography favors the criminals over the law.

It’s heartbreaking to see these communities caught in the middle of something so violent. I didn't realize how much the border situation was affecting them. How do the local authorities even begin to monitor such a massive area of jungle to stop these gangs?
