Trusting the British police on any case would be the precise definition of madness. Wayne Couzens. David Carrick. The catastrophic failure in the Vickrum Digwa case. The grooming-gang scandals. Keep doing what you've always done, and you'll keep getting what you've always got. Blind trust isn't virtue. It's stupidity.
What these journalists have not mentioned and will not mention regarding the fractious nature of our politics and debate at present is the awful influence of identity politics that they and a lot of sections of the MSM have been pushing for years - it has certainly made the atmosphere both online and IRL more febrile - Half the time, when you're talking to someone you don't know well, you don't know whether they're going to go off like a hand grenade of self-righteous rage just because you've expressed an honest opinion that doesn't happen to fit the current "be kind" consensus.

"....not just a random attack". on someone who happens to be a prominant politcal person [by random chance of course], by someone random person 300 miles away [ I, of course, just like everyone else, go on random 300 mile each-way drives]. Just how thick to these police, lawyers and journalists think we are?
All they had to do was say "were currently still investigating the motive behind this crime, we remain open minded and enquiries are still ongoing" rather than foolishly give a running commentary about what evidence they do or don't have, giving a warped impression to the public about what the motives are
But they don't give the ethnicity when they're not white, remember when they referred to that Ethiopian man that was at staying at the Epping Hotel, he had been in the UK for 5 days and the police and the media referred to him as "an Epping man has been arrested" for SA, not a Black Ethiopian asylum seeker, so that's a big fat lie.
They fell over themselves to sway public opinion and judgement instead of being impartial until all the evidence was gathered and analysed.
If this is not the very definition of political policing then what is?
All these journalists were so happy they could refer to the attacker being a white British national they forgot to do any actual journalism and investigate for themselves and view statements by authority critically, not like establishment lap dogs
The police should have said “No motive is ruled out at this stage”, but instead the ACC displayed their prejudices by making statements dismissing political or terrorist motives in the murder of a Reform politician. Funny that. 🤔

Everyone could tell the police were trying to manipulate/gaslight the public. How can the public, as 'uninformed' as they apparently are, still have a better sense for these crimes than the actual police if not for ideological capture?
The suspect is white was all over their press release, I hope that the ethnic identity of every suspect is going to be released on day 1 of an investigation.
