I went with my brother and it poured with rain. Couldn't see the sunrise but it was still one of those experinces that have stayed with me. Rollo and the druids in the centre of the stones and the prayer for peace was something else. A special experience for sure.
Why does she say nobody understands why it’s there? We know where the rocks came from the exact places they were mined we know when it was made and we know it marks the seasons which was very important to the ancient ppl of Britain,we know there is burials all around it one of which is one Fuk the first ppl to come here and trade
Imagine building something (or helping to build it) not knowing that thousands of years into the future, people from all over the world would come to spend time at it, talk about it, wonder about it...
To know for sure that you're sharing an experience with generations of human beings in exactly that place at exactly this moment (and in future moments) is such a hopeful thought as well as an obligation: to make sure that we don't create a scenario in which either the place and/or the people who create this event have been destroyed.
