Single Engine Static Fire? Huh. | SpaceX Starbase

Ship 40 conducts a single engine Static Fire test at Massey's...and then rolls back to the Production Site soon after. This vehicle is preparing to launch with Booster 20 on Starship Flight 13.

Anyone thinking about scheduling a launch with ULA after seeing their commercials? What’s their goal of buying YouTube ad time and who is their expected demographic? 🤣😂🤣

Thank you for this update, Das!

I like the bands of tiles are different sizes. It adds a functional touch to the design.

You have to wondering has SpaceX thought about just painting the words Gateway to Mars on the wall...

For another great report!

Always great to see Starship rolling down Star way 4 on its Star stand. :)
@
@7:42 there is in fact a dip in the Eastbound side of the road. The transport modules each drop into it, leaving the booster to sway until the transporter applies corrective adaptive action.

This feels almost like watching Takeshi's Castle, with the commentary.

Nice one Das as always. Thanks team ;)

10:50 before you mention the Klingon audio track...
Now I have to watch it all over again... thanks!😁

According to Marcus House, the S40 Static Fire duration was 15 seconds. And he said that what seemed like an abort the day before was an ignition test.

There's no word on why SpaceX didn't follow up the single engine test with an all engines test, but Marcus suspects they found a problem and decided to send it back to fix or possibly engine swap.

So S40.will likely or at least Should be sent back to Massey's for another go at it.

What do you think will replace Gateway (or Gatway) to Mars sign?
