This is probs gonna happen in the uk soon, where i live we had no rain for over 3 months and its been 30-41c for a few days since june but even the last few days its been 35c+ with the groud drier then the desert.. for the past 3 months its not been lower then 25c including night time temps.. wtf is happening?...

Every year this happens and nothing is done for prevention!!, what about big water basins and water pipes with mist nozzles ? have students make a plan for this. We need all the plants and trees, they are very important. (less concrete and more green against heat)

We have heard announcements in our local town in Spain always in Spanish obviously but did that contribute to confusion amongst foreigners living in the area

I lived in Murcia for several years, and Almeria was normally hotter.
I wouldn't wanna be there between at least May and September anymore.
It's just too hot.
And there's so much wilderness - what to do in emergencies?
I've lived through the floods and earthquakes and stuff there, but thank god never fire.
I love Spain, but the areas I love the most are too hot for me most of the year now.
Sending my love to all affected.
Bomberos ❤️❤️❤️

I was planning to spend the summer there. Tragic.

This could be coming to uk soon. At my local river I noticed the geese and ducks were starving as people did not go out in the heat to feed them. Please remember the animals in this heat, help where we can.

It is hot here, 35 degrees most days and Wednesday and Thursday were very hot and very windy. They need to set up a charity for these people.

Its like the Palisades/Altadena fires all over again. They pumped water out of swimming pools to soak houses. I hope there are shelters and websites for lost pets and horses.

What Europe is experiencing now is what we've been experiencing in Australia for decades coz our summers here are always extremely hot and there are always bushfires in many places. I'm in my 50s now, but when I was in my early 20s, over 30 years ago, we were already always getting temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s during summer and there was one day where it climbed to over 46 degrees, this wasn't in the countryside but in an urban area. Now, we still get these high temps, but the heatwaves are longer and the nights are hotter, sometimes 30 to 35 degree celcius overnight in extreme heat. So, I really do empathise and feel for the people in Europe who are having to come to terms with this kind of heat + wild fires + lost property and lives.
