The idea that UAP's are phantom targets created by our technology, be it special radar reflecting balloons, drones, or radar return signals that simulate multiple objects, doesn't square with the historical record. Just the Washington, DC "merry-go-round", by itself, where 7 or 9 independent targets were tracked hovering and accelerating to hypersonic velocities falsifies such conclusions. That was over 5 decades before the Nimitz incidents. The most parsimonious explanation is visitation from advanced civilizations, with perhaps operational warp-drive capability.
