Growing up, I was made fun of a lot for liking things like dance music and techno because people believed if you did then you loved doing drugs, could only enjoy dance music on said drugs, and even without drugs, that there was no artistic value or merit in it.
Because of that, i always felt alone. When I found Joels music, I found proof there are people like me that didnt believe all that garbage, and it gave me the strength to make my own music and find value in something i can share with so many others. And because of that, I don't feel alone anymore.

The funny thing about this song is, Joel's studio is full of analog synths, so there genuinely was a science to this song. People are saying he's back, he never left.
My inner 12yo child, who spent countless nights playing videogames with mau5 soundtracks, and also studying chasing the life I have now at 28yo, is so SO fullfield listening to this ... This sits next to Strobe to me. Amazing, out of words.
Joel has continued to provide us some of the best quality music there is in this universe. This world has gone to shit but we at least have deadmau5 music to get us through it
