It's absolutely a great idea 💡 to let kids read the Bible in schools. Reading the Bible is not the same as establishing a religion. Kids are already required to read all kinds of books 📚 in schools so why not read the Bible? As a matter of fact religious education should be taught in school. Nothing is wrong with getting a well rounded education. Education is what transmits the norms and values of society from one generation to the next.

This naitive Texan calls BS! Religion has never been taught in public schools. No! No! No! Teach your children whatever you desire, just not on the taxpayers dime in Public Schools! In no way shape or form do I do want my grandchildren groomed into the cult of MAGA. Go live in Israel if this is what you want. Raised by religious parents I do appreciate the teachings of Jesus Christ, but this not what Jesus would do.
Most people who think they're following Christ probably dont have a clue their only following the bible, two very different things.
Christs teachings where moral and spiritual, never the basis of a religion, they've been heavily redacted and warped into a religion that contradicts and goes against the very teachings and values of the man they're in the name of.
He never claimed to be the son of god, all people where the childeren of god and carried a spark of the divine, he was no different, he was simply a teacher. Live your life the right way and you'd be able to enter the divine kingdom. Thats been twisted into accept Christ as your lord and saviour or risk burning in predition.
Houses of worship being built in his name was something he was concerned may happen and was opposed to, now churches litter the planet. Ive bearly scratched the surface, there's too much.
Anyone who considers themselves christian, do yourself a favour, dont take my word on any of this or accept the bible on blind faith. Look into Christs actual teachings yourself, what he did and didnt stand for, and do so with an open mind.
The boundary between religious instruction and public education has always been a point of contention in the US. It will be interesting to see how this holds up against First Amendment challenges. Texas is certainly taking a bold stance here.

Good morning, everyone. Settling in with my tea and thinking about this. The idea of bringing Bible study into every public school classroom is such a heavy topic for a Tuesday. I wonder, do you feel this would bring communities together or create more division in the classroom?
