BBC doing Labour's propaganda work as usual, telling people about the guy the country hasnt voted for and has no clue what he is going to do, yet they pretend we live in a democracy.
Andy Burnham was part of a run of Labour governments that have done huge damage to the UK. Does anyone really think he will improve things. I think that would require a pretty big dose of suspension of disbelief. He epitomises a political ideology that was discredited in the last century, but oddly people can’t let it go.
18 months absolute maximum and thats because it will take that long for another one to come forward and be the next "miracle worker".... all career politicians desperate for the top job, thats the times we are in.
So hold on, in your country, a nobody off the street can get elected by 20000 people, and then immediately become the most powerful politician in the country, with absolutely no general election? 😂 What a clown show!

Wait, imagine the chaos of Burnham as PM. I can't tell if that's the most exciting or terrifying possibility for the country right now. Definitely need to see how he handles the national stage compared to Greater Manchester.
