One film that never seems to get a mention is “The Dish” - based on the story of Australia providing an important communications link to America for the Apollo 11 Moon Landings. A highly enjoyable film with a simple premise.
Kiwi here, as a teenager first saw Sam in 1977 in Sleeping Dogs. An amazing kiwi movie that still resonates. Loved him immediately. So sad we have lost our national treasure.
Sam Neill inspired me as a child portraying Grant, his actions in conservation, his actions in supporting the disenfranchised, supporting the disabled, as a child he was my hero and as I grew up he was an inspiration, he never let Hollywood go to his head, his charity work helped me out years back, wish I had gone to meet him and thank him when I had the chance. Sam Neill was a true hero and a legend
