The Trump administration is changing visa rules for foreign students and journalists in the US, limiting how long they can study or work in the country under new policies.
So just make it that students won't want to come here at all... if there is a risk you won't be able to finish your last few years of school, then students will just go elsewhere from the start.
Who's going to fill the jobs that require advanced degrees? Many international students earn graduate and doctoral degrees in fields like engineering, medicine, and science, then stay here to work, innovate, and pay taxes. If we force them to leave after four years, they'll take that education and their talent back to their home countries and compete with us instead. And let's be realistic—it's not like MAGA supporters are suddenly going to fill those highly specialized positions.
