Might be a calculated handover though, Burnham ran partially on PR, meaning the Greens would ultimately benefit from his ascendancy as well

I mean most of the reason the Greens became so popular was because they weren't Keir, and now Labour isn't Keir either
@
Why do people think that Burnham is going to move the party back to the left? I've seen no evidence of this.
@
If Andy Burnham screws up then The Greens will bounce back
@
Another way to frame this story is "How support for the Greens led to Starmer's downfall". Labour had never really had to contend with another left-wing party rising so quickly in popularity , other than maybe the Lib Dems in 2010. This was a sign that voters were willing to jump ship, and I imagine it was a warning for the Labour Party that Starmer has to be removed ASAP (along with local election losses, poor policy action and various scandals). And it's a reminder that just because a party is not running the government, it doesn't mean they can't influence the one that is. If Burnham's policies are more closely aligned with the Greens', this may still be a victory for the Green party, even if their popularity is waning.

Zack eats a sandwich for dinner, media loose their minds calling him a monster. Farage gets a five million bribe, media is like meh not interested.

People are waiting to see what happens with Burnham. If he ends up just being Starmer 2.0 I think the Greens will start rising again

6 minutes of content and 2.5 of ads is wild

at the end of the day, the real reason the greens are polling lower is because of burnham. occam's razor. but let's be honest, once burnham is gone, who is there?

I swear most of TLDR videos are about the ups and downs of polls lol
@
Just have to wait 6 months for everyone to hate Burnham

look inside:
everyone is in the negatives
@
I am so old I remember the reports of the death of the 2 party system in in 1980s when the SDP Liberal alliance were polling 50%!
@
Greens being willing to vote for the right labour platform is a good thing not a bad thing.
Burnham knows he can get support if does the right things and knows he'll lose it if he does the wrong things. That's influence.
Ultimately Greens want certain policies implemented and it isn't some personality cult around Polanski.
@
What about the Count Binface party
@
I wouldn’t write off the greens, it’ll depend on how well burnham does

The big one you're missing is that they sat out Makerfield (functionally if not officially) - took them off the battlefield for six weeks, removing them from public attention
@
There is something interesting here. If Burnham is more of the same, do the Greens rise again?

Because someone forgot to water them
