Mate, that was really, REALLY good. It takes real talent to speak on a subject for nearly two hours without droning, with enthusiasm but not mania.
Of course it helps that the subject is of interest to me, and I'm aware that you didn't sit there and do the whole thing in one take, but, just the same, well done. I'm glad I decided, finally, to take a look at "this thing about dinosaurs" that kept popping up.
Back in the 1960s I was hooked on paleontology during a grade school visit to the University of Pennsylvania. Our class attended a presentation by a professor who introduced us to dinosaur bones. I was fascinated. Dr Robert Bakker popularized the hunt for dinosaurs when I was a young man and the field of paleontology was exploding. Now this man comes along for the young people. His excitement and love for the subject is contagious. Good luck to him, I think he will help bring new generations to the subject.
if didn't pursue physics as a major, i'd have loved to study dinosaurs, and having a professor just like dr. brusatte would have been a blessing! such a passion and amazing storytelling skills!
I’ve read the “Rise and fall of dinosaurs”. I’m not a non-fiction girlie. And yet I read the book in a few days. It was interesting and easy to read. I especially liked how everything is told through stories of people who study the particular dinosaur from the chapter. It makes it easier to remember details. Great book. 10/10 ❤️
He's a very good storyteller. This is a very informative video in and of itself but unlike a whole bunch of other, similar lecture videos, the narrator only adds to the quality of the whole. Very well done, I would have loved to have him as a college professor back in the day
