~ We (USA) are F’ed in this deal. We never learn that we are not back in the WWII days. Then the allied powers literally wiped out the opposing forces. There was no interest in Making a Deal. The allies cleaned out the power structure and started over. We will never duplicate that in the Middle East unless we’re willing to wipe Iran off the map and nobody in the region, except perhaps Israel, would want to go through that.
