Bruce Willis was already suffering from early onset dementia and Kevin Smith acknowledged that he didn't know this at the time.

American History X is absolutely amazing. I can't imagine what we got was somehow worse before Edward Norton helped with the editing
@
Klaus Kinski was really crazy.
@
Yeah, except that the reason Norton edited American History X was the studio asked him to edit it. They didn’t want the director’s version.

It’s hard when one person makes work so hard for others. Especially if they are powerful and jerks.
@
Werner Herzog at one point told Klaus that he will kill him.

The worlds a stage , everybody is an actor

There are more great actors than jobs. Just hire with contractual authority that only directors will direct! If I ever got just one speaking part I would be thankful for EVER! I believe the story is more important than any actor.

Brando spent literally 15 years getting even with the whole world for the slights he thought he suffered on his Magnum Opus "One Eyed Jacks". it's one of the reasons he was bestus buddies with Bertolucci. He walked around like the world had effed him over too. The whole thing was a just a giant CF by two spoiled brats and they both Effed Maria Schneider over. I'm amazed Coppola never figured any of this out.

I can’t even comprehend how emotionally needy a person must have to be when starring in a movie or TV show just isn’t quite enough attention.
2 year olds aren’t even that needy.
They think they’re awesome but, GGI and post production magic is what really tells any story coming out of Hollywood ever since Irwin Allen made the Disaster Movies in the 1970s.
In fact, Rachel Zeigler just illustrated just how irreplaceable they are NOT.

I tried to shoot a flick once. Even bought a 74 Duster for the serial killer’s car. Spent about 45,000 bucks before I realized I couldn’t get ANYTHING out of the guy playing the title character. Wouldn’t learn lines, wouldn’t stop talking, couldn’t take directions whatsoever, refused to play it in anyway comedic (it was a comedy), so I just said F it, not worth it and called it a day. Turned the script into a trilogy and published it instead. So far I’ve made enough money back in sales to hit a drive thru once or twice…maybe.

Herzog knew exactly what he was getting into, he had been roommate for 3 months with Kinski earlier in his life…

i dont understand why media makes Ed Norton look like the bad guy with the AH issue. The director didn't want to expand the story of his transition and it wouldnt have made sense. The studio made Norton edit the movie longer to flesh out the story. Kay was an egomaniac

I didn’t realize Nosferatu made a film with Edward Norton.

I loved Blade when it came out. But even as a viewer, you could just tell that Snipes became very disconnected and hostile. He took himself too serious, thought he really was Blade.
@
The Tony Kaye clip is funny because the screenwriter of American History X said Tony's cut of the film was terrible and that Ed Norton saved it.
@
Snipes was worried about prison all the time because he would never pay a tax bill. 😂😂

American History X writer, David McKenna is on record admitting the Tony K version of the movie was a mess and not presentable, and the studio and producers agreed. Even McKenna says Norton was instrumental in spending extra time in editing after filming wrapped to create a product that could be shown in theaters.

Not every director is a joy to work with either. Hitchcock, Kubrick and John Ford were notoriously tyrannical, and I'd wager there are at least a few actors who don't care to ever work with Tarantino again.

The most amazing aspect of 'Apocalypse Now' is that it was ever finished.
