Mate, I have been a Labour member in two countries. Then, I watched New Zealand Labour go from the biggest majority ever -to opposition under the most craven, corrupt, right-wing coalition this country has ever seen. There's a few reasons for that, (morons not understanding global post covid inflation, media bias, dirty politics etc, etc) but the main one that struck me was that centre-left complacency and inability to seize their chance to seriously address the oligarchy that's fucking the world, and by extension the lives of most Kiwis. So. Fuck 'em. The stakes are too high, there's no time for business as usual in a time of populist global facism and the impending feudal system 2.0. I'm Green now baby, Green AF. The "centre" is dying because it made promises to the people but failed to deliver because ultimately it believes in the status quo. Also it never had real control, as always people with the real money have that.

The 'centre' in the uk is neoliberal. Neoliberalism is RIGHT wing. This is why labour attack the left as their defacto outlook. Neoliberalism at its core aims to protect entrenched power, big business and individualism over society.

The fact that only Zac called you up and the rest were too arrogant/blinkered/ignorant makes me feel that I wouldn't trust anyone else with running the country. Even if they call you now, it's too late. Apart from the Greens, they've all shown that they're not interested in these issues, and even if they are forced to eventually become interested, they don't have the wits to run the country. This is not some small issue for the country. Clearly only one party is taking it seriously.
