Nepal is an amazing country, highly recommend for any hikers. The people are super hospitable and its actually surprisingly cheap. If you go to places outside of the Everest and Annapurna Region, you'll barely even see other tourists.

One remarkable takeaway from the Gen Z protest and it's aftermath, apart from the unprecedented change in the political leadership, is that despite the scandals, misgovernance and instability Nepal's institutions held on. While the entire legislature, judiciary and executive were physically and politically whipped off, the institutions prevailed and the nation carried on. I think that was also a huge win for the nation.

Nepali here,- government is stable and stock market is going down though, big business houses are linked to high level corruption so there is less business confidence yet system of government is improving will probably take 2 3 years to show the growth.

โ€œAdvances in the electrical gridโ€ umm, you missed the biggest story here: the only reason Nepal ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ต had load shedding was a corrupt politician made money from selling generators. The advance in technology was exposing his corruption.
