Is that a lake trout run terraced up the hillside on the previous burn scar? Could be I think. The only way to find out if pumping water up the hillside year round will provide enough moisture to prevent the burn again, is to try it, somewhere. Where would you have such a scenario? Canada? Uh, yeah, there too, maybe somewhere closer.

We live on an island surrounded by sea water, if the water companies invested in de salination plants instead of giving millions of quid to shareholders we'd be alright.maybe even a 50/50 deal with the government.

I completely agree, those crews are absolute legends. Do you think the difficult terrain played a bigger role in the delay than the actual response time, Cal?
