I kicked the ball awkwardly and my testicles pretty much wrapped together, I didn’t know what happened until I started getting light headed then I started throwing up. I was rushed to the er and the doctor told me had I waited 5 minutes longer I would’ve lost a testicle. By far the scariest human faulty ever.

36:47 you are exactly right. I remember when my kids when very young. If I saw them hurt themselves and I might know that it must have hurt. They look at you, as if to confirm what they should do. I would always calmly say 'did that hurt? ' 'you are very tough, do you want a hug? ' they would sob a little bit. I have seen a parent react by gasping with wide eyes running to the child. Every time resulted in hysterical lengthy screaming.
I had a cat with an inability to feel pain. ......He was a lot. World's happiest cat, HAPPIEST cat. Nothing bothered him. Always so happy. But he scratched one of his ears completely off. We found him biting hard objects until he bent all his teeth forward. He had to wear sweaters because he would clean his fur until he took the skin off if we didn't keep him clothed. He was always injured in some severe way, but it didn't bother him at all. Heard a story where a guy stepped on a nail, was in severe pain, taken to the ER where they discovered the nail went between his toes and there was no injury. But he still felt severe pain just from the perception.
Kidney stones were so bad I curled up in a fetal position on the floor and wept... in public. I'm a six-foot tall, 200 lb. man, so people generally do not expect to see that. I discovered why opioids are prescribed to people despite the risks. I can't imagine going through that without medicine.
When I was a child, I remember playing with a little girl who couldn't feel any pain. The playdates had to be set up very carefully, so that she would in no way hurt herself. She had to go to the bathroom at regular intervals, had to be super careful when eating, wasn't allowed to run in case she fell and broke something without feeling it. I moved away from Poland to the US, and the next time I visited, I found out that she had passed away due to an infection. She was so beautiful, and intelligent as hell. One of the most thoughtful human beings I've ever met. I don't think she even made it to her 14th birthday. Just a sad, sad story.
