Trump always has a plan. He knows exactly what he wanted. In the Iran case, he wanted Iran to vanish into history, believing what Netanyahu told him that Iranians would start a revolution to overthrow the government, and all that is needed is a little push, a bit of help/nudge from the US and Israel, and that would be the spark that start a wildfire which will burn down Iran's government. I would call that ""Plan-O", Plan Optimism. It is clear to all that Plan-O failed spectacularly. So, Trump and works his way back from ""Plan-O" to now ""Plan-C", Plan Clueless.
By the way, it does have the potential to draw in a couple of extra players which had chosen to stay away, I am talking about China and Russia. If the report is true that the bridge that serves as a lifeline to Iran to transport oil to China was bombed, then China won't take that lightly.
