The north east doesn’t get enough love. So much history in the central highlands and north east glens. Everything from Pictish holdouts to Jacobite battlegrounds.
It was MURRY that led the resistance from the North. At Stirling Bridge was Co-Commander. He was killed on the Bridge. That left Wallace in Command. All these English versions of Scots History, leave out the fact that after David I(married to Fleming wife.), most of the leading families were of Flemish descent who had been half of of the 1066 Invasion of England. Most of the non Mac names in Southern and Eastern Scotland were of these Flemish Families. Dozens of the towns and villages of the Southeast and Central Scotland have Flemish names. In 1552 my Virginia ancestor was of these Flemish Scots. His parents were both of the same surname as were his grandparents. LINDSAY' Taken from the old Saxon Kingdom in Northumberland, in their award from now King William. Their sons took it to Scotland with David I.
I'm a highlander from the far north coast. I'm not sure about the glaciers, but I'm going to give you some extra points for pronunciation, you've done a pretty good job. Makes a pleasant change, especially on YouTube.

So as you say at, 27:44, King Edward I of England 'agreed to meditate.' Was it some kind of Buddhist meditation? or Zen meditation? Edward I, never struck me as someone who would be into meditation.
I am Cree Native from Ontario, Canada and my Aunt on my Dad's side married a man from Scotland. My Uncle Tom was a special man in my life and loved him so much. Coolest Uncle a Native could ask for, even took my Aunt to Scotland a few times. He moved here in the 60s to work for the Hudson's Bays Company.
