El Niño is officially here this tropical Pacific warming usually affects India’s rainfall pattern. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also confirmed there is a 60% chance of a deficient monsoon
Basically the. Ministry will do nothing… people are let to fend for themselves …last 14 years not only farmers ..the middle class has been robbed by political looters..
Late Professor K.N. Mukherjee, a Calcutta University lecturer, a fellow of Royal Geographical Society of London, has analysed the possibility of monsoon decay, the core Rajasthan desert should never be disturbed, as that will spoil the heat balance of India. The core Rajasthan desert forms the low-pressure zone like a Chullah, through which the desert hot air will go up, thereby pull in the moisture-laden monsoon from the seas. By continued irrigation through the Indira Gandhi Nahar, it is as if, we are pouring water into the Chullah. So, no low-pressure to lift the hot air is forming now and as such, there is no pull to draw the monsoonal sea-winds, and we are unable to understand the root cause of monsoon not coming to give the agricultural rain.
Hence, the root cause of monsoon decay or absence is not properly understood by The Meteorological Department people, who are continuously giving false hope and wrong forecast.
