All things must end eventually, the ability to be prepared for that eventuality is the sign of strength.

For any Americans watching, this journalist is Dr. Norman Swan, the dad of Jonathan Swan :)

This has been going on forever. Snake oil anyone?
Shameful behavior by those who chase easy money.

With no kids being born, the world definitely needs more old people lingering about in the health system till they're 120 years old. That'll be tremendous.

Peptides work, that is how Eli Lilly became a one trillion dollar market cap business. Eli Lilly funds lobbyists, so governments block the generic versions. Eli Lilly also fund people for disinformation. This strategy works that is why peptides are only for the rich and those willing to take a risk with the grey market.

A better idea are restaurants and fast food with healthy menus.

Aging is at a dna level inside each cell. Solving that requires making sure each cell splits perfectly without error and without senescence. It would require significant significant scientific research to even inch towards it. But maybe studying blue whales in the arctic would help because those have dna repair mechanisms that help it live to over 200 years old

Literally no mention of reta... everyone will be on it in 10 years..

Health bros love using "up to" in results, which starts at 0.

Oh dear!

This is really scary stuff. Great program and this reminds me of the Compounded Ozempic program from a couple of years ago.

"Are any of your friends taking peptides?"

"God No. My friends are mostly scientists."

Sick burn! Love it.

How can a public body like Ahpra be allowed to not comment when the public broadcaster asks questions? Where is their accountability? Imagine if a health professional that Ahpra regulates says no comment when Ahpra comes knocking.

There's not much of a theoretical leap to the idea of aging as decline as inevitable.

What's aging?

The degradation of cells from being able to repair itself due to accumulated damages within the information of the cells.

It's a mechanical biological process.

If it could be understood, regulated in relations to the other systems, it could be reversed or brought into remission.

It's neither sacred nor magical. The whole gerontology field is kinda based on the premises.

Of course, the way they're doing it, is neither based upon medical ethics, or the scientific process.

I took bpc-157 it fixed my knee tendonitis, now I'm trying to get my mother to use it for her bad back

Psuedoscience at its peak!

Peptides are strings of amino acids - the building blocks of proteins.
@
Of course, we can slow aging! Don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs, don't ingest sugar, get enough sleep, don't do stupid things like marathons and headbutts, get healthy exercise and enough good food, get necessary health care, including vaccines, and more things like these.

The guy who looks ‘almost 70,” looks almost 70. He admits he looked 70 when he was 50! 😂
