Used to rain a lot more like this before the drought. Back then, people didn't build on the flood plain because they knew there was a history of flooding. Just saying.
Grew up in Texas and I’m 58. Flooding in the Hill Country has been happening as long as rain has fallen in the area…for thousands of years. That people are surprised or believing that money will fix any of it is beyond laughable. Get off the river and move to higher ground…if it’s “too expensive” then move somewhere else.
We used to joke about getting 100 year floods every 10 years here.
