This won’t backfire at all.

WHAT! This happens one week after I leave Gibraltar?! I spent my vacation showing my passport to go into Spain and back. Well at least I have the last stamp from the passport office.
@
Does this mean that British people must go through EU customs and immigration after landing at Gibraltar?

British people now flying into Gibraltar airport need to go through EU border control and leave biometric record to EU authroity first before entering Gibraltar.

Pretty good presentation, especially the interview at the end that addressed the question I wanted to be informed about, namely where Britain's practical borders are going to be in all this, at the British Isles as it turns out,. Geography has prevailed over politics for the people living there. Very good.

Went to Gibraltar from Morocco back in 2019. It is easier to enter Spain from Morocco than from Spain to Gibraltar. The Gibraltar checkpoint was burdensome.

Just to check that out: If I fly from UK to Gibraltar on an EU Passport the border guards wave me through, but on a British passport, I have to go through EES registration?

The British government just "gave up."

Not the most southern peninsula of Spain, but A peninsula of the south. The peninsulas on the Morocco coast are also further south.

The southernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula is Punta de Tarifa, which is located about 28 kilometers southwest of Gibraltar in the province of Cadiz. Apologies for the error at 01:54.

I totally agree, harbourview! I wonder though, how are they actually managing the security side of things now that the checks are gone?

It really is a game changer, Mara. Not having to worry about the morning queue makes the daily drive so much less stressful for everyone.

Welcome everyone! It's incredible to think about how much easier life just became for those 15,000 daily commuters now that the border checks are gone. Such a huge relief for the local community. Do you think this will lead to more cooperation between the two sides moving forward?
