Could Humans Evolve Flight?

Flying like a bird would require way more than wings. Hollow bones, giant chest muscles, rewired nerves, and absurd amounts of food would transform you into something barely human anymore.

Im now suddenly realizing no Ephrin-B3 is one of the reasons why many* flying birds I've seen only hops if they're on ground

"according to all aerodynamic laws, the bumblebee cannot fly because its body weight is not in the right proportion to its wingspan, yet it defies these laws and flies anyway"

Never thought I’d be compared one on one to a bird.

you don't need large wings if you can flap them fast enough, harpies are heavier than most other eagles but their wings are on the smaller side, you don't need a keel bone if you evolve like a bat

Make a bat version of this analogy. That would actually be more physiologically accurate as a fellow mammal, and maybe borrow a few pterosaur features too since mechanically the flight movements between those two groups are physically more analogous to each other than either is to bird flight.

Learned today that bird wings are directly linked to their lungs. Makes sense but mindblowing to find out.
@
Its already possible for us to fly ... just only for a bit though.

My Hero Academia reference in Kurzgesagt is crazy ❤

Biology is crazy, the fact our ability to independently move our limbs comes down to one molecule is actually mind blowing

Did NOT expect Hawks to pop up

Never thought I would see a MHA reference in Kurzgesagt
