Excuse me? I do not know in which Colombia this analyst lives, but her account is terribly incomplete and even wrong I would say. Whereas Petro has not produced a single proof to back his accusations, he has explicitly said in X that the elected president of Colombia is Ivan Cepeda. That is not what she said during the interview. The real winner, Abelardo de la Espriella, decided to stop the on-going transition meetings between the two administrations given the refusal from Petro’s government to acknowledge the results. It was a rational measure given this extraordinary situation. However, it is not as bad as it sounds, 75% of all the information needed by the incoming government has been already obtained, thanks to a mandatory request for information made to each and every governmental agency, ministry and any other similar entity.
It is not true that Petro didn't provide evidence. He does have evidence of fraud, and he even listed it in his EX's posts. Oh, DW being DW, always leaning right. Serving Israel's agenda much?
I voted against de la espriella and am sad he won, but he won fair and square. Unless petro can show actual proof (he won’t), he should make the transition as smooth as he so as to not further hurt Colombia.
DW’s media outlets have been supporting these far-leftist presidents with dictatorial tendencies in Latin America and in various parts of the world; now, these “progressive democratic leaders” are revealing their true colors as anti-democratic authoritarians. Something tells me that the elites of the Global North are using Marxist ideology and supporting leftists goberments as a tool to keep these developing countries mired in misery and poverty, so that they cannot compete with their capitalist interests...

This discussion can be summarised with the (socialist) actual president can and have the right to say “I don’t recognise”, but the election has NOT any evidence of fraud and therefore the new president will take place as it should be in August.
It’s just a bad loser trying to make highlight every where he can, and based on this video, it’s working.
Everytime the right wins elections it's systemic accusations of frauds or financement malpractice, with courts eager to take it on. It only goes one way.
Embarrasing enough that that person has sworn allegiance to the US over Colombia and he was allowed to run, and all his ties to drug dealers and the paramilitary and now he does not want to conduct the transition.
Only in Colombia could a person who swears allegiance to other State over his own be head of State. A historic shame and it will be met with full resistance, if the worst happens.
