I wonder who wrote that “:whitewashing” statement of rude and insolent criticism for him? I doubt either he or his wretched wife wrote it , far too articulate for either of them . One of his PR people or Sherborne? Such an astonishingly stupid thing to do.
Always excuses …..this case being a “ whitewash” , the Ravec case being a “ stitch up” and harking back to Afghanistan even - he blamed his Commanding Officer for not being given a field position for which he must have been unqualified ? It never stops and I doubt it ever will. He really is so bloody tiresome.
It's being said that in fact, Henry, Elton John, etc. were actually trying to get a huge settlement out of court, but The Mail wasn't playing their game. As one writer put it,
