Couple of tips for a much better pão de queijo: use a mix of sour and regular ("sweet") tapioca starch if you can find both, roughly 2 to 1, it gives you a great crust but also nice structure and "rise". You can also use a stand mixer with a paddle for a much easier time in mixing. I also never saw a recipe that calls for an overnight rest, I'd just skip that. These are coming from someone who makes a huge batch and freezes them to consume throughout the next 30 days pretty much every month :)
I think the most important part of breakfast isn't just how it tastes, but how you feel afterwards. Do you have enough energy to tackle the rest of the day without going into a food coma?
Blood sausage is usually called black pudding. Definitely need to have smoked bacon for a better taste too! Fried bread would have been a perfect addition.
My mom actually learned that "one-knuckle" rule for how much water to put in rice from an Indian chef she talked to once, so apparently that rule transcends national boundaries and exists in a LOT of rice-eating cultures
Making only ful medames for the Egyptian breakfast. Is like making full English breakfast but it's only the sausage.
The reason it's so basic is because you're supposed to eat it with falafel, fries, eggs, pickles, cheese, etc. So you made one component of an Egyptian breakfast, that's why it was that basic.
filipino here!! what you had was longsilog and tapsilog ! silog is a combination of SInangag (garlic fried rice) and ITlog (fried egg). when you add the meat (for example longanisa) it becomes longsilog. longsilog is my absolute favorite breakfast but it’s such a heavy meal. second after that is tosilog (tocino which is sweet cured pork, kinda like bacon) !! and you can’t forget the spiced vinegar…the best bite with all components
weird how I've seen a bunch of people with a sponsorships from helix sleep describe different sleep habits and they all say they got recommended the midnight luxe. And weirdly enough the midnight luxe is the most expensive mattress they sell. coincidence????
