Link is a governance token correct? Why would the price go up if it’s not used or has no utility. Picture needs to be more clear as to why it would go up with all this usage
I would classify LINK as a “show-me” token, not a broken project.
Chainlink itself has probably built one of crypto’s strongest infrastructure moats. The unresolved question is whether the economics will transfer enough of that success to LINK holders.
The token should respond materially when these four conditions appear:
Reserve purchases accelerate toward—or eventually exceed—net token releases.
CCIP and institutional production usage produce visible recurring revenue, not just pilots and announcements.
Staking expands substantially beyond 45 million LINK.
Enterprise adoption generates compulsory LINK purchases or meaningful permanent lockups.
Until those numbers move, partnerships alone are mostly technology validation rather than token-price catalysts.
My blunt assessment: Chainlink has been much better at building essential infrastructure than it has been at monetizing LINK. The Reserve may finally repair that flaw, but at its present scale, it has not repaired it yet. 🔗
Sorry, I’ve worked in several big banks, across 3-4 crypto bull markets, and any extra money and attention now has moved away from crypto to AI. The gains are more tangible and visible.
Sucks because I believe the future is better with chainlink and other utility coins but it’s kind of a bad place bad time kind of thing.
LINK's institutional adoption narrative is solid, but the token economics haven't changed—still inflationary. Watch if staking rewards actually reduce circulating supply or if it's just another way to lock liquidity.
