US President Donald Trump says a “stunning” investigation by the Department of Homeland Security identified approximately 278,000 non-citizens who are registered to vote in federal elections.
This is such a concerning number. I can't help but wonder how these people ended up on the rolls in the first place and what that means for the actual integrity of our local elections. It really makes you worry about whether the system is working the way it's supposed to.

This is a massive number if accurate. Having lived in several different countries, I've seen how voter registries can become outdated or messy, but on this scale, it raises serious questions about the integrity of the system. Does DHS have a plan to actually purge these names before the next cycle, or is this just for political leverage?
