This is one of the best interviews I have ever witnessed. You asked great questions and then let her answer without interrupting, the sign of a great interviewer. This is a very exciting and complicated field and you made it understandable to us "regular brained people."

Cleo just casually bringing on a Nobel Prize winning scientist like it was nothing. I'm not just impressed by that, but also at how incredible Cleo was as an interviewer here. Asking critical questions, not trying to make this into some type of "super powers" concept but rather, discuss real-world material that we could see. Wonderful work here!
It's important to note that frenchie Emmanuelle Charpentier is the other co-winner of the same Nobel prize of medecine 2020. She is microbiologist, biochemist, genetist, and has a huge record of reseach studies. She is being using CRISPR since 2012 and has a huge experience with the technique. Would be interesting to interview her as well.

Credit where credits due, Cleo is informed and most importantly non-adversarial. The interview gently encourages the interviewee to share their wisdom of the various topics. I enjoy this style of interaction and suspect most other viewers do as well. I learned something watching this and nobody was shouting or triggered. Keep up the good work.
34:43 I have Huntingtons disease. My wife has gone through the IVF process three times and tested the embryos. From that we’ve only been able to have a total of 3 embryos that were healthy and and not affected with Huntington disease. Of those 3 only 2 have resulted in successful pregnancies. We are so lucky to know our children won’t have to suffer from this disease but how amazing it could be to not have to discard healthy embryos that could result in healthy pregnancies by editing the genetic code!
Man when this chanel started I thought that idea of optimistic tech stories would be shallow and a bit naive. But these interviews and videos in general have been so refreshing and thoughtful. Not a lot of times do you get to be both excited and learn about the future at the same time.
My son had it for sickle cell back in December and when I tell you it saved his life… it’d been absolutely amazing.
