As a resident from the country where the volcano incident was filmed and i've been there myself, let me say a few words:
Getting up close to that volcano is not allowed, not illegal, but the tour guides cant wrestle you to keep you away from this danger. A few months ago someone got hit with one of those rocks and they got really hurt, i dont know what else happened to them. They might have died. Please come see the volcano, its an amazing experience, but dont get this close to it. You can still get pretty amazing footage safely. And dont be discouraged by dumb people doing dumb things. It is a very safe hike if you follow the guide's directions.
"let me film myself instead of running for my life"
