Hesgeth describes the American troops as the most elite in the the world. No way do I challenge their commitment (I have a son-in law who is an officer in the USAF), but so do troops of many other nations, who work hard and train hard. The resilience of the Ukrainians are perhaps an example to even the Americans. He is pure propaganda, fed up with propaganda. Wonder if he and/or others has shares in a T-testing company. For me, he is an embarrassment to the American military.
Does hegseth really seriously think that 60yr olds will be running around on the battlefield? They'll be in admin roles where they can safety carry extra weight and facial hair if they want to.
Last Fall the Administration disposed of memorial plaques honoring the 170 WWII African American soldiers buried in a national cemetery in the Netherlands. When asked, the US Ambassador scoffed that the message on those memorials no longer conformed to the ideology of the current Administration. Earlier in the year, archives were scrubbed to delete information and images honoring the famous Tuskegee Airmen…

Thankyou for this. This has been brought up before but i think people see a word and make an assumption. Still, secdef is trying to sell it as macho man super soldier stuff
Consequently, if testosterone levels are not optimal for the male/female service members, tax payers shall pay for the treatment.
Social Security will soon be cut by 23%, yet unnecessary (considering the age of most service members) tests and retests of testastorone will be financed by the tax payers...
The Trumpists are a joke a minute, the American forces don't even enter any fight in which they place their own lives on the line, they just blitz the enemy from a distance using their superior technology. Half a dozen Americans killed in their latest war, some forty times lesss than even the number of Iranian schoolgirls that they have killed!
Hegseth is completely clueless about what really matters. Combat conditions are completely different to peacetime testosterone levels. In combat you are scared and alert and rely mainly on the training you have received to carry you through. High testosterone can be a disadvantage because it makes you less aware and prone to stupid mistakes. Ask anyone who has been in close combat: testosterone is irrelevant. We just don't believe in that sort of nonsense in UK anyway. We also learned in the Falklands War that the thin, wiry men lasted longer than the beefcakes and that the ability to march fast over harsh terrain mattered more than being able to pump iron forever in a gym.
Low t is occasionally a real issue but the recent uptick in diagnoses is largely vanity based from insecure men. Hegseth is probably just going to cause a load of cardiac issues in soldiers who don't have access to independent health advice.
Stop talking about "on the battlefield" the vast majority of soldiers work at a desk and do not need to be held at stupid physical standards that do nothing but take time and money away from the equipment and training most actually need
Pete feels he needs to build bionic soldiers to defeat Iran.
