We the people of Papua New Guinea are not behind this clown government actions, they are crazy!!
@
Then why was there an official office there then
@
Papua new Guinea has the single most protected status of having the most incredible birds of paradise. Omg, who cares about politics. The birds are priceless.
@
Does PNG have the right to make that decision?
@
Y'all saw that ICBM test launched from China which landed near Palau right? 👀 😂

It's about survival NOT money!
@
Shit that’s not good.
@
Sydney's St George council has recognised Taiwan and declares Taipei its sister city

New Guinea might have reason to deeply regret this nonsense. You will find yourself on the wrong side of history. The CCP is tanking due to their inability to behave as a fair and reasonable member of the human race. Ask Congo how many citizens they have lost due to CCPs disgraceful behaviour. Its on record despite their ridiculous denials.

Today's Hong Kong tomorrow's Taiwan.
@
Trustworthy bunch are they not? take from Airbus and then get a back hander from China to dump Taiwan
@
CCP needs to be overthrown.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA IS WRONG. There is no shame in allowing an embassy from a free Democratic nation, such as Taiwan, to have an office there. Who came up with this idea? Has the US been notified about this? ''Under the Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA) signed in 2023, the U.S. military has access to six key facilities in PNG, including Lombrum Naval Base on Manus Island, the Port Moresby Seaport, and airports in Port Moresby, Lae, and Momote. This access allows the U.S. to conduct training, transit, pre-positioning of equipment, supplies, and materiel, as well as surveillance and reconnaissance activities.'' AI

How much would that have brought in for PNG?
@
Don't worry about it Taiwan there will be plenty of countries who will come around better a truthful country than a lieing deceitful countries
@
Australia needs to cut all ties and any funding with PNG.
@
Another blow to the free Chinese.
@
PNG has been bought by China.
@

That was 3.8 billion dollars well spent by albanese to take Papua new Guinea away from chinas influence.
Does that mean the mutual defence treaty is trash as well ?
Or did albanese pay papua new Guinea to align with china, in which case it's another labor success story
@
You can always tell successful countries by the leaders, PNG didn't get the memo

I hope not, Mara. It's heartbreaking to think about how many people and local partnerships are hurt when these offices are forced to close.

That's a very supportive perspective, Ian. Do you think other nations will start following suit soon?
