Why do they lie is approval rating is dropping we don't want him as prime minister we want a general election

If there is a strong approval rating then its only because Starmer was that bad, that anyone else will be a breath of fresh air. The uplift isn't real though, how can it be, we know nothing about what Burnham is about to do.. Wait until he starts saying things, his position on the soul crushing net zero, cost of living, help for the elderly this winter to name but a few. Then we will see....

😂😂Nobody expects anything but misery from this man and more tax. C’mon Times let’s be honest with the public
@
Get the looney left out of power
@
FROM WHO???? 😂
@
Burnham MUST face the British People via a General Election, not to do so gives him NO MANDATE to Lead the Country.
@
He is a Fabian Marxist like the rest of Labour and that isn't just name calling.
@
There used to be an era when The Times was a respected independent source of news instead of a pro-left mouthpiece.

A strong approval rating? Who are you trying to kid
@
The Times printed a hit-piece against Restore and Rupert Lowe today (18 July). They published full details of one of the young women who gave evidence at the (R) gang enquiry. They published her photo, full name and address. By doing so, they have put a victim who'd been (R)ed, imprisoned and tortured as a child at risk from revenge attacks by her abusers who still walk freely.
The Times has become a disgusting rag which trumpets the mainstream narrative and is opposed to authentic investigative journalism.

Dead cat bounce.
@
Who are you kidding? The Times, proving yet again, it is there to keep the Uni-party in power.

Gone by next summer
@
He'll be more hated than Starmer.
@
At least the Times and all the MSM will be happy with his appointment.
@
It's like replacing Captain Smith, one hour after the Titanic hit the iceberg.
What difference will it make?
@
He has already dropped 12 points, what are you talking about ?
@
Let's not forget he is a member of the fabian society, so nothing will change.
@
Burnham has changed Larry the cats name already to chairman Meow
@
I've seen bricks bounce better than burnham

Spot on, Marcy L. It reminds me of how new CEOs start with huge fanfare only to face a reality check during their first quarterly review.

Oh wow, I really hope so, Mara! But let's be real, the honeymoon phase usually ends the second the first tough decision hits.

Welcome everyone! It's fascinating to see that shift in the polls now that Burnham is heading into Number 10. That uplift is definitely a strong start. Do you think this momentum will hold once he actually starts implementing his policies?
