But it wouldn't, it would mean CA, NY, IL would have a candidate campaigning there because of get more ROI. Clinton would never have gone to DE, NH, IA RI is this were the case.

The electoral college wasn't an accident, it was a deliberate compromise. I believe it was in 1787 after delegates rejected both congressional selection and direct national popular vote. The constitution created a federal system in which states play a role in choosing the president. Whether that's the best system today is a fair debate, but those were the rules when she ran for president and every candidate campaigned under the same rules. My thought " the rules where the rules before the game began. You don't rewrite them because you don't like the result".

No, it needs to stay, it's perfect. Otherwise worthless liberal states like New York and Carlifornia will determine presidential winners base on population numbers.
You can imagine if India uses electoral college as well, it invariably stops states like Hindu Utar Pradesh from deciding outcome of elections...😂
