Cheap??? Cheap in price, but good in quality. This is called competition.
@
Yes, AI companies complaining about people copying their stuff is absurd.
@
Without China, everyone is paying huge money to buy American's expensive AI products, thank China!
@
What is not said is "American" AI scientist is mostly Chinese. Not the CEO's etc.. but the actual guys doing the work.
@
Compnies who have real tech people know how to run chinese models locally and safely and found they dont need to pay for US and western AI at all. That is the truth
@
4:32 Know one knows how they are doing it? The models are literally open source, everyone knows how they are doing it. They publish their research for all their models.

It’s the EV race. As soon as China got in the front, US will try erect all sorts of barriers to try to stop it, but any protectionist measure will eventually be futile. Remove this restrictions, let’s compete on level playing field and whoever win the race is fine by me
@
Kier Starmer stated Britain was leading the AI race 😂
@
Remember after USSR collapsed, NASA's budget and development also collapsed. Batman is nothing without Joker, they complete each other. This competition will be beneficial to entire humanity.
@
So if China not building as many data centers, and restrictions on best chips, what are they doing better.its obvious they are building AI smarter

It’s like the latest handphone.
I don’t care about the latest tech…
I only care about the affordability and how functional it is…..

Chinese models are first in coding. The most important right now.

The world needs China to win the AI race.
@
Gotta love Chinese efficiency
@
Without China, the entire AI industry would be monopolised by US companies. By the way, many of these US companies own stakes in one another, meaning that, to some extent, they are essentially part of the same circle.

I'm more worried about the Silicon Valley emperors
Palantir mines all kinds of sensitive data for dark purposes

Imagine Chinese companies have access to the best chips that will be crazy

You've got a point there, Sofia. It does feel like a bit of a scramble when you see how fast things are changing on our screens every day.

Ouch, Ruth, that's a cynical take, but honestly? In these kinds of high-stakes races, it often feels exactly like that.
