"That painting was only discovered in 1997 in a museum." makes sense; the last place I would go for lost evidence is a museum

I live fairly locally, and I feel like this is common knowledge in the area. It’s something I was told as a kid, that the iron bridge was built flat and the angle appeared as the banks fell toward the enter of the gorge

Tom's conspiracy rope shape meant to resemble the bridge is also steeper than the bridge. perfect.

Tom. You could not find the plans because you didn't look in the basement of the planning department at the bottom of a locked cabinet in a disused lavatory with a a sign saying "Beware of the Leopard" in 18th century script.

someone born and raised in ironbridge here - the main thing i remember being told at school about the bridge was that it was originally flat and the pressure from either side of the gorge caused it to peak like this!

"I think the lack of evidence helps my conspiracy theory" said every crackpot on the internet ever. I think your extended break did things to you Tom.

No plans, no prior examples, no on site records and previously unknown technology. Must have been aliens.

Somewhere an architecture historian is watching this, sweating, whispering 'he's getting too close.'

Classic Tom! I love when he goes full "conspiracy board" mode. Now I’m wondering if there are other bridges with similar secrets... definitely feels like a riddle waiting to be solved!

It's a fine line between "misinformation" and "wild, clearly flagged speculation" and I hope I'm on the right side of it here! Also: next episode's on Nebula right now: nebula.tv/videos/tomscott-i-get-excited-about-an-a…
