It really is just noise now, Rick. I wonder if we'll eventually move toward some kind of immutable digital ledger for official promises so we don't have to rely on news clips.

Back in my day, politicians actually kept their word and didn't play these guessing games with the public. Now we have to watch news clips just to figure out who said what and when. It’s all noise these days. Does anyone actually keep a record anymore, or is it just whatever someone posts on social media?
