How about build solidarity through the building of a revolutionary general strike? General Strike US isn't about just a one day performance. No, it is about building dual power structures, parallel economy and educating the people until 3.5% are on board all across America, and THEN stand together for a lasting General Strike.

You can build on the model of Cooperation Tulsa, building cooperative commons and mutual aid networks.
You can federate with whatever other councils and organizations that have similar values and standards.
You can all be against the billionaire class. I think MOST PEOPLE can understand the billionaires are not our friends.

We just need a better option for them.
Build libraries and gardens. Reclaim the commons, like Andrewism and Srsly Wrong have talked about a Library Economy. We can do this. Just start pooling our common resources.

The populist movement in the 1890s started with some racial unity and then that unity came apart. Why is that?
@
You guys. Smh

I'd help you, but I don't talk to dems anymore. We've talked enough.

There is an argument that the democrats need to focus on economic interests and tone down identity based politics. There is something innately racist in that sentiment, I think. How do we develop unity and still fight racism and exist and anti-gay sentiments?
@
I am on board and agree, but you need to change the name. The acronym of Party of Our Own is POO!!!!!!!!
@
Was it racial division, a huge part of what brought the populist movement down? What lessons are drawn from that? Certainly today there is a polarization still between progressive and reactionary sentiments. How to deal with it?
@
Oh wow, I am getting all static!

What an exciting program. Les Leopold is a fantastic informer. He is a guest you should follow up on to encourage the movement and help build it. Great show!

One of the best listens I had in a while. Thanks for the positivity. Makes me feel less insane.
